About The Glass Anvil Art Foundry
Diane Tovey, stained glass artist, creates her designs from a private studio in a rustic setting located in Carmine, Texas. Diane and her husband, Robbie, have established the studio to serve the local area as well as the greater Houston, Dallas, College Station, Austin metro and surrounding areas. Round Top/Carmine offers a great central location and the stained glass and mosaic art compliments the established antique shops and other art businesses in the community.
Glass has not been the only line of work Diane has experienced, but all of the career opportunities of the past lend to support her work. Her experience with glass art include church windows, commercial displays, residential doors and windows, lamps, jewelry and decorative mosaic glass panels. She also custom designs and personalizes work for special occasion gifts.
Artist's Perspective
"A fascination with colors, light, and reflections that seem to live in stained glass windows keeps me intrigued with glass. I am also challenged by fabrication techniques and endless possibilities of design ideas. Each piece of glass art created - whether it is commissioned work or for self-fulfillment, is born out of inspiration that comes from various sources and when combined with divine inspiration fuels my imagination. I found glass as an artists' medium in 1997 and have been dedicated to working with glass since then ..."
